Oren Gelber


Ms. Gelber has been a part of the Collen IP team since 2004. She joined the firm as a law clerk, and in 2007 became an associate attorney. As an associate at Collen IP, Oren’s primary focus is with the firm’s litigation department where she enforces and protects clients’ trademark rights through opposition, cancellation and ex parte proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Oren has also engaged in trademark, trade dress, copyright, trade secret and patent litigation before various Federal District Courts and participated in appeals to Circuit Courts and the United States Supreme Court.

Oren also specializes in Internet and new media policing and enforcement efforts, including investigation of counterfeit products and unauthorized trademark, trade dress and copyright usage on websites, and social networking sites, procurement of Internet domain names through UDRP domain name arbitration proceedings, and social networking and webpage take downs pursuant to the DMCA.

Prior to joining Collen IP, Oren has also practiced in the areas of corporate and securities law and commercial litigation.

Ms. Gelber earned her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from New York University in 2003. While pursuing her degree in International Relations, Oren worked as a Research Assistant in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, focusing on generation of monoclonal antibodies for the development of cancer therapies. Oren is a contributing author on three manuscripts published in scientific journals related to this research.

Oren received her Juris Doctor, with a concentration in Intellectual Property, from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2006 and is admitted to practice in New York.
